"You don't need to Own a horse-
you can fall in love with one of Ours !"
Lessons offered to all levels of riders. I love teaching beginners because they're pretty much a blank slate. Sure, there may be fear from past bad experiences, or to much confidence, but generally I enjoy introducing these folks to the great world of horses in a positive manner.
Here at WoodFinn, we strive to have learning be Fun. Lots of laughter, but professional instruction... I don't believe in berating students or yelling at them for mistakes made. That doesn't work with horses and Sure won't work well in humans.
Students begin riding English.... they learn how to groom their horse in a proper manner, looking for wounds, swellings, or other ailments as they do so.
We teach 'horsemanship' to riders.
In addition to having a great time learning to care for a horse, they learn more about diseases, equine structure, and lameness. On days when the weather is bad, we have theory lessons in our tack room. That is when students learn how to care for leather/ tack....they learn the parts of a horse and we occasionally play games on horseback to make learning more easy and fun.
You, or your child, will receive private, one-on-one instruction,
without the distraction and chaos of a group of students.
